1. write up on your presentation: a. briefly describe your presentation and which software you used? our presentation was on "the use of technology in a k-8 science curriculum". we decided to use prezi.com for our presentation because we've used it before for our other presentations in our other classes. we used to images to be our background/layout. in those two images we placed all of the information that we were going to present; including the videos that we wanted to show our classmates. we also included more photos within the two larger photos and some of the links that have interactive science activities. b. on a scale of 1-10, how do you think you did? i think we we a 10 because we put in a lot of time to complete the assignment and we did the research on our topic. c. if you had to do it again, what would you do differently and why? if i had to do it again, i think i should've spoke louder and i would've also wanted the students to try some of the interactive activities if we had enough time to do so. d. describe your experience using the given software? was it user friendly? would you use it again> what were the challenges? etc.. Prezi.com was user friendly and since it's been awhile since i last used it it took me a bit longer to get use to it, but after i got the hang of it it became easier to work with. e. how would you use this in your future classroom? i would use prezi to make my presentations more fun for my students because for me prezi seems like a roller coaster ride and i could also include the links for them to do some of the interactive activities within my presentation.

1. Describe the assignment.
we signed up for a weebly account and started to set it up. we added pages and also linked our blog. my weebly is almost like a resume or portfolio.
2. what are the benefits of having an online portfolio?
I think your future employers can easily view it. It's convenient; you can access it as long as there is internet available.
3. what are the features you liked about the weebly site?
I liked how we are able to choose our own designs; they have a variety if themes that we can choose from. I also like how it's similar to when using a blog.
4. what were challenges? how would you use weebly in your future classroom?
I did not know how to use it in the beginning but after a while it because easier to use. I don't think the challenges were that bad.
I think I can use weebly to post assignments, handouts, and reminders for my students and the parents can view it too.

week 10 [presentation of the commercial]

Describe your assignment.
-we had to create a commercial using the flip cam and imovie. we came up with what product with wanted to sell and how we wanted to sell it. after we developed a plan we started to film segments of the commercial and then we started to edit it in class. we then presented it to the rest of the class.
What features did you use in imovie to enhance your videos?
-we used some of the themes and transitions as well as some sound effects.
What did you like/dislike about imovie?
-i thought imovie was easy to use but i had to adjust to it first after that it got simpler to use.
Would you use it in your classroom? if so, how? Give other example lessons.
-yes i would use it . maybe if i want to review my students or if i would want them to be able to remember some information i would introduce it by make a video that would appeal to them.
HOw did you like using the flip cams?
-the flip cam was easy to use but i wish it had a pause button.

week 4 (Quiz and Rubric Software)

we basically created our own quiz and rubric by using some software that are available online and that are free. they were pretty easy to use.

Week 3 (Flow Chart)

We created a flow chart showing how technology is being used within a school.

Week 2 January 26-February 1

the first activity we did was tape a blank paper on the back of our shirts and have our classmates write a word that described us. afterwards we went to wordle.com and chose one of the templates and typed our named about 20 times and then we wrote the world that were written on the blank sheet of paper that was on our backs. we were then able to see how it looked like and we were able to edited it and then print. as a future teacher i can use this tool to for my students and i think they would enjoy this site. i would rate this 9 because it was really fun and i enjoyed doing this.

Week 1 January 19-25

First day of class, we introduced ourselves to the class and then we went through the syllabus. afterwards, we completed the skills assessment and emailed it to Mr. Jenkins. we then learned how to post on the forums and did a timeline and presented it to the class.
Timeline assignment: we had to input around six events that have occurred in our life and then we resented it to the class. i think the timeline activity that we did can be used in the classroom for me as well as my students to get to know each other and it can also be used for some activities that i would want to have my students do that had to do with events. i would rate this site a 8 because it was easy to use and fun to do. it can be a very useful tool for me in the future.
